today we kicked off the 2013 cohealth year with a show on adult caregiving. our guest was kevin sypniewski, CEO of the agis network, an organization that provides employers with seminars, customized websites and ongoing communications to support employees facing and dealing with caregiving and long-term care decisions.
with the percentage of adults providing some level of caregiving assistance tripling over the past 15 years, caregiving is something we as individuals and organizations really need to come to grips with.
this 30-minute show explores employers’ and employees’ concerns, needs and possible solutions.
- benefits checkup: kevin mentioned this resource for finding state, federal, and private benefits programs
next cohealth checkup: wednesday, february 6, 12pm ET
our next cohealth checkup focuses on work-life fit and why it’s a business strategy and not a nice-to-have benefit. i hope you noticed my use of the word “fit” in place of “balance.” our guest cali yost, a work-life consultant, author and forbes contributor, has pioneered the use of the word “fit,” which she feels better represents the achievable. her philosophy is fully represented in her latest book, tweak it: make what matters to you happen every day. we’ll see what organizational and individual “tweaks” we can glean from cali during our next show.
