2010_09 cohealth

cohealth is a virtual knowledge community for those keen about workplace wellness. read on for ways to be involved and to find our 2011 tweet chat calendar.

1. tweet chats

i co-founded cohealth with greg matthews in january 2010. we started with tweet chats, which we still run every third wednesday of the month from noon to 1 p.m. (ET). we had an amazing 2011 calendar and our 2012 calendar is coming together. wellness managers, communication professionals, wellness providers, physicians, insurers and researchers are all current members, bringing a broad perspective to any topic up for discussion.

the working rules

  • follow @co_health, the account we use to moderate the chat.
  • if you have questions you want discussed, DM @co_health any time throughout the month. we’ll keep a log of requested topics.
  • when you participate, tag all your tweets for the chat with #co_health (unfortunately for us, the simpler “cohealth” has been taken).
  • using a tool like tweetchat makes participating in a tweet chat much simpler. it automatically adds the hashtag to your tweets and shows only the tweets from the chat you’re participating in.
  • this is a community, which means we all share the load to make it successful. no selling, no attacks. respectful dialogue and debate are always welcome.

in the past, we’ve discussed going tobacco free, building community, crowdsourcing wellness design, designing a voluntary employee wellness champion program, and more. review recaps from 2011 chats here. if you’re new to tweet chats, we’ve put together a cheat sheet for you.

2. cohealth discussions

between tweet chats, you can toss around something you’re thinking about, get recommendations and find valuable resources on the employee wellness network and our linkedin group. you can also connect with the cohealth twitter community by adding the hashtag #co_health to your tweet.

3. cohealth daily

i’ve curated a daily paper on workplace wellness, pulling from national media, health care bloggers and cohealth members. you can read the paper online or have it delivered to your inbox.

please spread the word and invite others to join. the community will be stronger with more voices and experience represented.
